Today is Give-Away Day!
One of my absolute favorite blogs, Sew, Mama, Sew, has declared today Give-Away Day! I slipped my blog in just under the wire to participate.
Here's how it works. Today, lots and lots of crafty bloggers are all giving away something hand crafted or items to aid and abet a hand-crafter. You can enter to win by leaving a comment on their individual blogs. I love this idea because it's always cool to win something but even cooler to find crafty blogs!

Unlike my other pouches, this pouch is a little smaller and padded with cushy fleece. It's got a cozy feel and the fleece adds some extra protection for anything delicate that lives in the pouch. I'll be adding this pouch to my shop later today.

The last time I remember winning anything would have been second grade, I won a pumpkin candle in class. (I'm now 30!) My mom however is a super lucky person, she once won a free cruise to Mexico. :)

Love the bag! Hmmm...well since I've only ever won one thing I guess it would be a brooch in a draw held at a friend's clothing design course graduation! I'll be ungrateful and say that I'm not a brooch person and I never wore it. But hey, I won!
This was such a great question, really entertaining reading.
When I was 8, my friend and I won a three-legged race. We both received a Milky Way chocolate each, and our action-packed picture was in the local paper. I still have a copy of the photo, it still makes me grin to this day.

When I was about 10 years old, I won a $25.00 gift certificate in a drawing at a kitchen shop! My parents thought they would get it - but I found plenty of stuff I liked:)

The greatest prize I ever won? When I was 14 I won a license plate frame. Yea, 14! Could not drive!

I have never won anything except one time when I was trying to win concert tickets and had been searching for forever on a car lot for the said tickets, some guy found Disney on Ice tickets instead and gave them to me since I looked so cold and he didn't want them. That is the closest I have ever come, but here's to hoping!
I'll still never forget the time I won $102 from a radio station. I was about 14, and it felt like I had won the lottery.
As a child I once one a box shaped as a bunny, I still keep around and use it every easter. It now has some vintage charm :)

I haven't won very many prizes... but my husband and I won a $100 gift certificate to L.L.Bean about 9 years ago. That was fun to pick out new clothes and not pay for them! I love this little bag, and agree the inside stripe is great!!

greatest prize? a stamp set that i won as a result of a contest at our local fair -- i still have it and use it in my crafting!

The greatest prize I've ever won? That's a hard one, but I think it is the one-day cruise for five person on a nearby lake I had won when I was twelve: the day we did it was beautiful, and it was great to share that with my family, especially since it was something we would never have been able to afford otherwise.

The best thing I ever won was a nights stay in Denver at a fancy hotel. My husband and I went without the kids for like one of the first times ever.
The greatest prize I've ever won was when I was about 6 - I won a colouring competition to design an Easter egg at the local supermarket. I won £50! A lot to a 6 year old.

When I was 15 or so, I won a big roasting pan from a kitchen store. Not so thrilling for me, but my mom loves it and is still using it.

The greatest prize I have ever won was a trip for two to Balitmore all expenses paid, hotel, plane tickets, rental car and tickets to a music festival. We had a blast! Love your bag! so cute!
The greatest prize I ever own was a Kitchen Aid professional stand mixer. I won it at a company party that my husband's company threw. I was more then exctied! I am sure my husband would have wanted one of the TV's but he likes to eat so it was of use to us both!

The best thing I won was a little Christmas tree with $75 on it. I was about 10 years old and it was a drawing including the whole school (about 200 children). I was shocked, that was a lot of money for me then, well I guess it still is!
The best thing I ever won was an infant layette - my husband and I were both students with a newborn daughter and a very tight budget, so it was much appreciated!

Well, it's not really a prize but it's something I do prize. I've had a hard time getting (and staying) pregnant and I'd have to say my greatest prize is my daughter :)
It was 1996. A coworker was hosting an 80s party. I went all out...huge hairsprayed hair, short ruffle skirt with little boots, big bow in my hair a la Borderline video. I won a huuuuge trophy for Best Dressed. Made all the catcalls and horns honking as I waited for the bus worth it! LOL

I was once won weekend away for my husband and I at a log cabin resort. The food was all included and it was great to have a break from the kids for a couple days.

The best prize I ever won was when me and hubby was selected bride and groom of the year and got a gift certificate from a glasswear shop... plus lots of other things from the same shop (lamp, perfume, iron pot, cutlery etc etc.) But this is many years ago though... I don't usually win anything.
The greatest prize I've ever won...hmm...in blogland, it was a box of vintage goodness; some old handwritten receipts, an autograph book, recipe booklet, etc. In real life, it was a handheld back massager, which was awarded to me at church. I taught a group of 4th/5th grade girls, but we didn't have enough classrooms, so our group met in the stairwell. The back massager was my "prize" for being willing to sit on the stairs to teach. :-)
